The RI-LINKS2UA team gladly announces the publishing of the next E-Journal. The present edition aims to inform you about the project activities which have happened since the Summer edition. As usual, we also compiled selected infos from external sources regarding the EU-Ukraine STI cooperation for you.

News highlight
The European Commission published the new Horizon 2020 Work Programme for 2018-2020 and is ready to invest €30 billion in new solutions for societal challenges and breakthrough innovation. Participation of researchers from Ukraine and the EaP countries in the forthcoming H2020 calls for proposals on Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing is encouraged, especially with the emphasis on SPIRE calls.

This section is bringing you various news that happened in the previous months. Among others you can read about the financial aggreement between the European Investment Fund and ProCredit aiming to support innovative companies in 11 countries, including Ukraine. Apart from that, you can find other news that report on additional support for SMEs, with various means.
The EU-Ukraine Association Agreement entered into force since the last E-Journal, and the JRC teamed up with Ukraine on smart specialisation strategies. You can also read about Ukrainian efforts to improve the STI sphere.
Event reviews
Autumn was an interesting season for the project. The RI-LINKS2UA webinar on "How to write the impact section of a Horizon 2020 proposal?" was held in September, followed by the Summer School for Young Researchers. On top of that, the project's second Infoday was also held in November, which focused on the topic of "Ad-vanced and Resource Materials" in the new Work Programme.

As the publishing of the new Horizon 2020 Work Programme and, within that, the SPIRE calls are highlighted in our current edition, the SPIRE calls are emphasised in this section as well.
