EU Member States and EaP Partner countries share a view that the EaP should focus on delivering tangible results to citizens.  In response, the European Commission and the European External Action Service identified a set of 20 deliverables for 2020, first published in December 2016, which aim to deliver concrete results and step up actions in four key priority areas:

  • economic development and market opportunities;
  • strengthening institutions and good governance;
  • connectivity, energy efficiency, environment and climate change;
  • mobility and people-to-people contacts.

The joint working document has been revised based on contributions from EU Member States and EaP Partner countries "Eastern Partnership – 20 Deliverables for 2020: focusing on key priorities and tangible results"

This will focus the work in preparation of the Brussels Summit in 2017 and beyond.
