Horizon 2020: more than 400 organisations from Ukraine participated in EU programme
Over the last two years, 429 Ukrainian organisations have participated in preparation of 715 project proposals, expecting European Commission contribution of EUR 269,25 million.

In particular, Ukraine submitted 161 proposals for projects co-ordinations of which 5 were classified for funding with EC contribution of EUR 1,82 million.
These results classify Ukraine on the 6th place among associated and candidate countries. At the same time, Ukraine reached 3 times better result in the number of participations and gained EC contribution than Tunisia, Moldova or Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Detailed analyses show that 32% of Ukrainian participants are from higher and secondary education institutions, 36% from private for profit organisations and over 25% from research organisations.
Ukraine became a full-fledged participant of Horizon 2020 programme in March 2015. Since then Ukrainian organisations are able to fully participate in Horizon 2020 on equal terms with EU member states and some other third countries.
Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU research and innovation programme ever, which is open for participation not only for EU member states but also for some associated and candidate countries. Programme’s budget is nearly EUR 80 billion and available for over 7 years (2014-2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract.
