President Petro Poroshenko Signs Ratification of Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement Between Ukraine and Euratom
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a law on ratification of an agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom) on science and technology cooperation and Ukraine's associated participation in the Euratom Research and Training Programme (2014-2018) on 13 October, 2016.

The press service of the President of Ukraine announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In June, Ukraine and Euratom signed the treaty on science and technology cooperation.
Ukraine's associated participation will let its scientists take part in advanced nuclear energy projects and help implement EU nuclear safety standards.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Minister of Science and Education Liliya Hrynevych says Ukraine has a 95% abatement for the membership fees in this programme, and it has been allowed to pay the contribution for 2016 in instalments in 2017-2018.Ukraine's total contribution for the participation in the programme in 2016-2018 may reach some EUR 312,000. The agreement may be extended till 2020.
